This modern farmhouse plan has exactly what you are looking for in a home. What you want is the right balance between open communal space and private space. A house should feel open, but also have secluded areas that allow you to be alone. And a really well balance home will bring the outdoors inside, blurring those boundaries making the house feel like part of its environment.
The open floor plan allows for an expansive great room. However, the focal point for the family will be the kitchen island that seats 7.
